You would be incorrect. However, I do run Product Development for a $100M company and have built & launched dozens of products over the past 30 years. The 10 minute update isn't going to slow anything. They're not doing it because it's not important to the them to do it. If it were they would do them - that's the way humans operate. They're making decisions every minute/hour/day to do other things vs. posting an update. No biggie, it happens all the time. But to presume that an update would slow their pace is giving them a pass.
I'm in this for the duration, understand the pressures they're under and also understand that even their latest schedule is aggressive & optimistic at best. They haven't hit the world of gov't bureaucracy and the FCC. Somewhere the end of next year would be my bet on earliest delivery. 2015 would not be out of the question. Nor would a total fail.
I put my money in and mentally "walked away". It's either going to pay off or not but I'm not going to sweat it. Sometimes you roll the dice & win and sometimes you lose. Mostly you lose btw. I'll be thrilled if they do it but am not going to be threatening to cancel my order with my credit card company because that will surely kill the project.
