I received an email note from Jon. He is trying to engage producers in taking on the Earl project, since Onyx decided they were not able to produce the final product. (no hating, they got the Earl to this point).
*Been contacting a few alternate EMS providers, heading to SF this weekend, few meetings next week.
That's how it goes now. Meetings and wooing EMS providers.
As an aside, Jon uses his bonus points/mileage all the time for this. He frequently uses free flights to keep the costs down. He is aware of the budget, and trying to do what he can with what is left.
Sure, there may be a time where he needs to start another method of gaining support financially - kickstarter, angel investor, etc. But right now, he's being frugal and trying to find the best match for Earl and a Producer.
It's the Goldilocks and the Three Bears - needs to find the perfect bowl of porridge, Just right. Some of the providers think that the project is actually too big for them. I don't understand a business not willing to grow in production capability to take on more business, but I guess I'm just a capitalist at heart.
Might have rambled a bit too much, so I'll just wait and reply to comments. Have a great weekend!
