I really like the change to the Cypress touch overlay, and I think that the update they just put out last night should make the 'backers' realize it's a work in progress. They are keeping the original goals in mind, found a discrepancy with the tech they were going to use originally, and made a change that will benefit the product.
This isn't vaporware, and it isn't a scam.
The Earl team is a tight, small group of people who all really want the tablet to come to production, and they are working hard at it both here and the states.
Back to the original topic - Please stay.
If you don't stay, then truly leave, and don't try trolling others to leave too, just because you got cold feet. If you pulled your funding, you really don't have any stake in this, the development, the updates, and once you get your money back, you can wait for the news of the released tablet on the interwebs and pay 30% more than I and the other backers did.
Benefits to staying? The money is already spent, so just sit back, relax and wait. The Earl team will update you. You will get a finished tablet earlier than retail, and have the benefit of lifetime updates. They want you to be satisfied because you are a Patron, a Backer, an Investor, or whatever term you want to use to describe someone who gives money to a dream like the Earl.
When communication from the team happens, share it with others.
When you have an idea for a future version of Earl, share it with others.
This is the Earl community. Let's work like a regular community and get along, please?
