In one of the updates, you mentioned that you were working on a partial redesign of Earl's RF system which will add SDR receiving functionality and the ability to function as a Personal Locator Beacon. And in the topic 406MHz beacon, it appears that this will function in the same way as the PLB I now carry. But since I know nothing about RF systems or SDR receiving, this leaves me salivating for the PLB capability, but unsure of what that will provide. The PLB that I carry will send a message via 406 MHz which contacts rescue authorities from anywhere on earth, giving them my registration number and GPS coordinates. Presumably they will then send in the helicopter. My understanding is that I am responsible for paying for the rescue, so the signal had better not be sent off by accident. I don't need to pay a yearly subscription fee for this. Will the Earl do the same thing? Is this going to be available in the first versions being shipped, or will that be a later update? What mechanisms will be put into place to avoid accidental sending of the signal?
