First point "Exaggerate much" I count 12 updates in the past ten months (as long as the updates page has been up.) they were, May 5th, 2013, June 12th, 2013, June 21st, 2013, July 21st, 2013, August 26th, 2013, September 9th, 2013, October 1st, 2013, October 28th, 2013, November 15th, 2013, December 15th, 2013, January 23rd, 2014, March 4th, 2014. I count 12 updates in ten months. I have stated in other threads a couple of times the biggest error that they made was ever promising a delivery date. I like you and many others, would like more and more frequent information, but I also realize that we are dealing with a small entrepreneurial company that is re-inventing the wheel, not a multinational conglomerate that is force feeding us what they want to produce.
No one forced you to pre-order/fund this project. You made that decision. As compared to Apple products you would wait until they released the product and for something with the specs of Earl my guess is that it would be in the $1000 - $1500 range from Apple.
I believe that we are going to get a better product than we paid for when we backed this project, they could have just stuck to the published specifications, but they have been improving them as the development has progressed.
Do I wish I had Earl now? Yes, do I see that backing a groundbreaking, limit pushing project is the only way to get it? Again, Yes!
