I finally got the survey to launch, so I filled it out.
Just to recap since 2013... no, I don't want an Earl. No, I don't especially care if I get my money back. I've biked across the US. I've cycled internationally. I've done 3 long through-hikes. I've done everything I was hoping to do with the Earl.
And I didn't have an Earl for any of it.
Due to Earl, Ouya, Pebble, and their like, I also no longer crowdfund. I no longer have the optimism or faith in new concepts that I had nearly 4 years ago.
This is my final post here. I hope you other folks eventually reach some sort of closure... but for me, this was mine. I biked on 3 of the 7 continents so far, and realized that the only thing you can depend on is what is in your bag. Things like Earl are, at best, wild delusions. At worst, calculated cons.
